The Vietnam Omics Society organizes the Vietnam International Conference in Genome Biology (VICGB) every two years starting in 2023.
The conference is a scientific forum for sharing and exchanging research related to genomes. The genome, the entire genetic information of a virus or organism, has long played a crucial role in helping us understand the biological world and solve related biological problems. The advent of high-throughput sequencing technologies has opened the omic era, expanding the scope of research beyond genomes to encompass all biological molecules and the complex interactions between them. This process is strongly supported by bioinformatics tools for analyzing massive and complex data. These advances have been and are driving diverse applications in medicine, agriculture, industry, and the environmental field.
