Become a Member

The purpose of the Vietnam Omics Society is to gather and unite Vietnamese members at home and abroad working in the field of Omics in order to exchange information, experience, and scientific and technological achievements to improve knowledge, professional expertise, and teaching as well as research skills in Biological Omics–Big Data, thereby contributing to the scientific and technological development of Vietnam and integrating with the international Omics and Biological Omics–Big Data community.

Regular Members

Regular membership is for Vietnamese individuals who are conducting research and teaching related to Omics–Big Data and related fields domestically and internationally; and for foreign individuals who are researching and teaching in the field of Omics–Big Data while living and working in Vietnam.

Applicants must complete the required information via the Google Form. Only regular members may be nominated or self-nominate to become members of the Executive Committee and have the right to vote.

The regular membership fee is 500,000 VND (or USD 25).

Student Members

Student membership is for all individuals who are currently undergraduate or postgraduate students and meet the Association’s charter and objectives. Student members enjoy the same benefits as regular members.

However, this group of members is not allowed to vote or run for/nominate candidates to the Executive Committee. Student members must register and pay the annual membership fee.

The student membership fee is 100,000 VND (or USD 5).

Organization/ Sponsor Members

Organizational membership is for universities, research institutes, companies, and other domestic and international organizations that agree with and support the objectives of the Association. Organizational members enjoy the same benefits as regular members.

However, this group of members is not allowed to vote or run for/nominate candidates to the Executive Committee. Organizational members must register and pay the annual membership fee.

The organizational membership fee is 500,000 VND (or USD 25).

Associate Members

Associate membership is for individuals both inside and outside the country, regardless of age, gender, profession, nationality, or religion. Anyone who wishes to become a member and fully meets the membership charter and objectives of the Association is eligible to register.

Members of this group are not allowed to vote or run for/nominate candidates to the Executive Committee. Associate members must register and pay the annual membership fee.

The associate membership fee is 100,000 VND (or USD 5).

Honorary and Distinguished Members

Honorary and distinguished membership is for individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the Omics–Big Data field. These members are nominated by the Association’s Executive Committee. Members under this category enjoy the same benefits as regular members and are exempt from the annual membership fee.

Benefits of Becoming a Member

We always welcome new members to the Vietnam Omics Society. By becoming a member, you will enjoy various benefits (listed below). Join us to help shape the future of the Omics field in Vietnam.

  • Be officially recognized, awarded a badge, and issued a membership certificate by the Society;
  • Be entitled to attend the Society annual general meetings;
  • Be entitled to nominate, be nominated, and vote for the positions of President, Vice President, and Executive Committee members;
  • Be considered for priority fee reductions or exemptions when registering for conferences and scientific workshops organized or co-organized by the Society;
  • Receive monthly/quarterly updates from the Society and its partners;
  • Participate in programs, projects, events, or awards organized by the Society;
  • Be considered and recommended as representatives of the Society to attend conferences, workshops, training courses, and related events domestically and internationally;
  • Representatives of the Society on official assignments may be considered for travel and accommodation support in accordance with regulations;
  • Be nominated or apply to be considered for annual outstanding scientific awards;

Members with positive and outstanding contributions to the activities and development of the Society will be considered for recognition at the annual general meetings.

Membership Renewal

The membership renewal fee of the Vietnam Omics Society is based on the above registration fees and is collected according to the fiscal year. The annual membership fee must be paid to the official account of the Vietnam Omics Society.

How to Become a Member?
